Squatting To A Better Pelvic Floor

School Children in Physical Education ClassWe often have women come into our office who are struggling with pelvic floor related problems.  Those issues range from uterine ptosis (dropped uterus) to bladder issues to just not holding their chiropractic adjustments as well as they should.

If you mention strengthening your pelvic floor to a women she will usually say, “I know I should be doing my Kegel exercises.”  But is that really the best way to strengthen the pelvic floor?  To answer that question I recommend reading an informative blog post by Katy Bowen from www.alignedandwell.com.  In her blog titled “You Don’t Know Squat” you will learn the basics of why squats are important to your pelvic floor strength and how to do a proper squat.
